Love isn’t Real
Skeptical scientist Elena analyzes rom-com tropes, pop-culture clichés, and neurotransmitters in an attempt to prove love isn't real. With the aid of Penny, her friend and resident romantic comedy expert, they establish a step-by-step process to achieve “love” by science and reason, not fate or luck. Enter the subject, Adrian: an unsuspecting and genuine romantic. As Elena embarks on a relationship with Adrian, she tests classic rom-com moments and documents the results, but she is surprised to find her own feelings mixed up in the experiment. When the relationship and the experiment both grow serious, Elena will have to decide which is more important to her— proving love isn’t real, or finding love for herself.
